During the Annual Colloquium 2022 of the MathCoRe, I co-organised a special session about ‘Mathematics, Geopolitics and Society’, jointly with (and moderated by) Barbara Witter.

This thematic session included statements about ‘how free’ science is in the home countries of some MathCoRe fellows, and discussions about how to build bridges for mathematicians from areas under geopolitical conflicts and about the overall responsibility of mathematical research in the development of potentially harmful technology.

I organised, together with Giles Gardam, Kasia Jankiewicz, and Bakul Sathaye, the eleventh edition of the ‘Young Geometric Group Theory’ conference series. The YGGT XI took place from 13 to 17 February 2023 in Münster, Germany. We hosted over 150 participants from 16 countries. (Thanks everyone for joining!!)
