I organised the last meeting of the ‘Thompson community’, namely the GoTh Workshop: Groups of Thompson and their relatives, jointly with Kai-Uwe Bux, Ilaria Castellano and José Pedro Quintanilha.

I organised, together with Giles Gardam, Kasia Jankiewicz, and Bakul Sathaye, the eleventh edition of the ‘Young Geometric Group Theory’ conference series. The YGGT XI took place from 13 to 17 February 2023 in Münster, Germany. We hosted over 150 participants from 16 countries. (Thanks everyone for joining!!)

For the YGGT XI, colleagues from the organising and scientific committees appointed me as a Panelist for the ‘Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Panel’, together with Indira Chatterji, Alexandra Edletzberger, and Genevieve Walsh.

Prior to the YGGT XI, a mini-workshop about reflection groups was co-hosted by Magdeburg and Paris, organised by Marco Lotz and Anna Michael in Germany and by Sami Douba and Rachel Skipper in France.

During the Annual Colloquium 2022 of the MathCoRe, I co-organised a special session about ‘Mathematics, Geopolitics and Society’, jointly with (and moderated by) Barbara Witter.

Anna Michael, Felix Reinbott and I organised the fourth edition of the Annual Colloquium of the MathCoRe, which took place in the beautiful town of Thale, near the Harz mountains.

After a forced one-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual Buildings Conference took place again in Magdeburg, 2021, in hybrid format. I organised it jointly with Isobel Davies, Anna Michael and Petra Schwer.

This year I was invited to share a few words about my academic path so far and the importance and meaning of the PETMAT Programme of the University of Brasília. The (online) event was part of a series celebrating the 25 Years of the PETMAT/UnB, organised by Luciana Ávila Rodrigues and the current students of the PETMAT.

The Buildings Conference Series, previously organised by Linus Kramer, moved to Magdeburg in 2019 after running in Münster for a long time – it was then organised by Petra Schwer and myself.

I served as the Reporter for the Oberwolfach Workshop ‘Cohomological and metric properties of groups of homeomorphism of \(\mathbb{R}\)’, and helped collecting open problems posed at the workshop.
